Quality of audio cables, Red & White splitter vs. straight headphone?
I connect both my computer and tv to a 2.1 creative gigaworks t3 system. I have my tv hooked up through the headphone jack split to the white and red cables hooked into the middle speaker. My computer is hooked up through a skinny 3″ headphone to headphone cable that is connected the the volume changer of the system.
My question is, would I get better quality if I used the red and white Y cable to hook up my computer instead of a straight connection?
Both cables produce the same sound. The red and white might be a little clearer regarding the left and right sound fields but both cables produce 2.1 sound.
